Facebook has launched Express WiFi in India under internet.org to connect with more people. A partnership has been formed between Facebook and Airtel for this project. Consequently, Facebook will soon launch 20,000 new hotspots available at different states of India. The aim of this project is to spread internet connectivity and deepen the roots in India.
States like Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Meghalaya have received 700 Hotspots from Facebook. Other countries which received it included Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria and Indonesia.
Facebook joined hands with Bharati Airtel to give Indian states additional 20,000 hotspots. Doesn’t that sounds amazing? Hotspots from Facebook! The deployment of these Facebook hotspots will begin in coming months. Users will receive faster internet at cheap prices.
Can Express WiFi beat Jionet?
Although it will be cheap, but can anyone go beyond the negligible prices of Jionet? We all know the free services are still up and running even after TRAI asked Reliance Jionet to go off. Apart from that, TRAI recently proved Jionet is fastest in India as per month of March. Will you opt for Facebook Express WiFi even after that?
How to get Facebook Express Wifi
You will be able to use it by signing up with an Express WiFi retailer and buying internet. An account will be provided which then will be used for data usage.
